Buying a Home in the British Virgin Islands
Buying a home in the British Virgin Islands is more
complex than in some locales. If you are not a citizen of the BVI, you must obtain a "non-belongers landholding
license". This is normally done as part of the sales contract. Homes
purchased under such license are owned "in fee simple", which means that the owner's
title is in his or her own name without restrictions.
